What A DAY!

7:45 a.m. - Woke up
7:50 a.m. - Took Shower & got dressed
8:00 a.m. - Ate banana and protein bar, helped with kid's breakfast
8:15 a.m. - Made kids lunches
8:30 a.m. - Cleaned up kitchen, Bible reading/journal time
8:40 a.m. - Changed poopy diaper
8:45 a.m. - Packed kid's bags for school, labeled diapers with H's name on them
9:00 a.m. - Face Book Status update
9:10 a.m. - Packaged gifts for my brother, SIL, niece & nephew in Scotland
9:15 a.m. - Chase down hooligans, tackled their coats on them
9:20 a.m. - Make cards to send out, retackled coats on the hooligans
9:32 a.m. - Take kids to school (late)
9:45 a.m. - Arrive at school (late)
10:02 a.m. - Arrive at Pilates Reformer class (late, but enjoyed a great and challenging class)
11:10 a.m. - Head to Post Office on 33rd. Got appropriate packaging paperwork. (I don't know what it is about the P.O. but I always feel like I am not doing it right. I feel like they will bite my head off if I ask a question or take up too much counter time.)
11:30 a.m. - Hair appointment
1:00 p.m. - Look in the mirror and think, "hmmm....my hair looks kind of crappy but tell myself it's just hair and it will grow back. Chill out!"
1:15 p.m. - Browse Kirkland's for Christmas Decorations and think, "How many mirrors do they have in this store, because my hair does look really crappy!"
1:30 p.m. - Go to Target and use gift card to get a Star Bucks drink so I will chill out about my haircut, yet I keep worring about "how I am going get it fixed", "who's going to watch the kid's when I do this", "do I go back to my girl or go to another girl", "will it be much shorter when I wanted to grow it out", "It will cost more if I go to another girl, but I don't want to tell other girl she did a bad job." You know, stuff like that! SO co-dependent, I know! Meanwhile, I am getting knots in my stomache and working myself up into a tiz.
1:45 p.m. - Run into Tara & Micah, have a complete meltdown on isle home office supplies, continue in my co-depedent rant, got a great hug and pep talk to just call my girl have her fix it.
2:00 p.m. - Leave Target, call my girl. She was great and we made arrangements to get it fixed. That was SO simple. Why did I make it SO hard?! Ridiculous really...
2:10 p.m. - Call MIL and ask for her help with the boys while I go back to get my hair fixed and Landice's cut too. FYI - I don't ask for help very easily, but I swallowed my pride and asked even though it was hard.
2:15 p.m. - Picked kid's up early. Hayden threw up on Corban's classroom floor. I cleaned it up and took puke-smelling-ball-of-mischief to go pick up his sister.
2:30 p.m. - Arrive at the GG's house, finish writing letters and postal packaging.
2:55 p.m. - Go to second hair appointment of the day
3:10 p.m. - Arrive at second hair appointment, hair is fixed (hallelujah) and Landice got a free cut too.
3:40 p.m. - Arrive at Post Office off of Covell. This was a wonderful experience. The post master helped me with kind words and patience. Noone was breathing down my neck to hurry up nor gave me dirty looks for my daughter saying, "I forgot the red thing, Mom. I forgot the red thing, Mom. I forgot the red thing, Mom. I forgot the red thing, Mom. I forgot the red thing, Mom. I forgot the red thing, Mom. I forgot the red thing, Mom..." I think you get the point so I will stop there.
3:50 p.m. - Arrive back at the GG's for a snack and some t.v. time.
4:20 p.m. - Head home. Hayden barfs all over his carseat.
4:30 p.m. - Say hi to neighbor, whom I am envious of because she is freezing her booty off putting up lights, while I am wishing the barfed on carseat would clean itself up.
4:35 p.m. - Put all school bags up, grab mail, carry Hayden in still buckled in his carseat. Hey! It's the only way to contain that that little guy!
4:40 p.m. - Clean up Hayden, then start the adventure of cleaning the carseat. Found 2 year old raisins and crusted cheerios.
4:45 p.m. - Hayden dumps out zit cream, then all three kiddos get caught red handed climnbing in and on front entry way table. Let's just say we ALL took a timeout!
5:00 p.m. - Start dinner (nachos & veggies), Corban pushed ottoman into his room, dumped out his toy box, stacked it on top of the ottoman. I was able to intercept before major crash occured. Very frustrated, I came down to check on dinner to find the cheese overflowed and stuck to the microwave plate.
5:15 p.m. - I hear another big crash from upstairs so I invite the kids to come down and stack styrofoam cups with me. Believe it or not, it really helps to have something you can knock over a few times. Had a few laughs, tension lessoned.
5:30 p.m. - Set table, prepare plates.
5:45 p.m. - Greet Daddy with a smile and a kiss at the back door. Thank the Lord!
5:50 p.m. - Enjoy dinner together.
6:20 p.m. - Watch kid's try to do handstands.
7:00 p.m. - Hear kid's once again crashing, banging, crying, whining upstairs. Get mad at Joshua because he can poop with the door closed and noone on his lap.
7:20 p.m. - Rant to anyone who still reads this thing.

F.Y.I. - The only way I made it through today was through lots of prayers, a Star Bucks drink, a FEW M & M's, wonderful hubby who still loves me even though I am irrational at best, and knowing things can only get better!

Wow sounds fun! I wish you had pics of your hair in the "crappy" stage. I'm now very curious

I apologize for chuckling at your pain. I don't have 3, so it isn't nearly as crazy, but I identified with everything...especially the pooping with the door closed thing. I have thought the same thing. Jonathan doesn't have to try to get Cole to get out of the cabinets (can't wait to lock them up in the new house) while he is doing his thang...

I know how you feel. Minus the bad haircut, but I was there today. :) All better now......everybody's asleep.
