Thanksgiving Part 1 - Instilling Family Morals

Moral number one - Do unto others as you would want them to do unto you.

If you think shooting nerf balls at your Great Grandfather is a punishable offense...

Maybe you should look a little further into the situation...

Big Sister may get what she wants now...

And things seem to be riding smoothly...

A perfect world actually...

Except when little bubba wants a piece of her action...

Like taking candy from a baby...

Who's got a sweet ride now?!

Big Pimpin'...spending Gigi's and Titos!

More words from the crazies...

This is Landice's version of the B-I-B-L-E song

Oh the B-I-B-L-E
Oh that’s the homework were going to do
That’s the book for me
I stand alone on the road of God
That’s the one for me.

C:Knock Knock?
Daddy: Who’s there?
C: Chippy
Daddy: CHippy who?
C: Chippy Banana Head

Corban - Mom, I have throw up stingers in my mouth. They held get the stinky stuff out of your mouth to your knees. Your knees have stinky stuff in them and it helps them run faster.

Mommy, we’re in jail.
Me: Why are you in jail?
C: Because I am run too fast.
L: Because I am in jail.

Yesterday, Landice wore her hand me down borrowed rain boots from a friend. Corban told her she looked adorable and she didn't like that very much. She told him in a very ugly tone too. I told her that she couldn't talk to her brother that way and here is what she said. "Well, Mommy, can I just NOT be adorable? Thanks!"

Hayden has figured out that the swiffer has a button that released fluids. I found him in the laundry room yesterday making a swiffer puddle.

Extremely Random Today!

I got paint on one of my favorite workout pullovers while painting a cardboard box I cut out so the kids could pretend to be turtles. Ask me how the kids enjoyed being turtles...well, they didn't. Their shells got rained on while we were at church Sunday. I think the boxes are still out there along with a random piece of tinfoil.

I am starting a top 10 things that I never dreamed I would have to say to my kids. Here's a preview: #10 - Keep your panties on
#9 - Put your hands up, don't move & don't touch anything
#8 - I am not your grandma

I think I might start a list of random items I find in my purse. Last night I found a pair of Corban's socks in there. Maybe I should clean that sucker out more often.

Today Joshua made me an eggwhite omlette with cheese, tomatoes, broccoli, & spinach along with a blueberry pancake. Then, later when I delivered him his cell phone he left at home he stole me heart! He told me he was sure glad I was more complicated than a math equation. Hmmm...I am still thinking on that one and I think that is a compliment.

If I feel the need to sneeze I look at the sun and I usually will always sneeze twice.

I was inspired by the 6th grade girls Tabitha class last night. I am thankful that MRCC has a desire to help us raise our children in the Lord. I wish that I had been given a program like the Tabitha class when I was growing up. Maybe I would have handled some life situations a little better and definitely knew who I was much sooner. I will look forward to Landice growing up more because I know she will have so many Godly women help in shaping her to become a Christian young woman!

Last night on our way home from Bible Class, Landice was bugging me by saying, "Mommy, mommy, mommy..." over and over and over again while Joshua and I were discussing something. I finally said, "Yes, Landice, what do you need?" She replied, "I want to rejoice and be glad in the Lord!" Then, she began singing the song. What a precious moment for us. Sometimes we wonder how much our children learn, but it is in these moments that I am truly convicted in the pathes we have chosen.

I love skinnny cow ice cream sandwiches and the smell of GAP close perfume...I think that shall go on my Christmas/Birthday list!

Sam's Club will never be the same!

I will say that dragging all three kids to this wonderful "buy in bulk" playland at 1:30 pm without naps, no pacifier and having just eaten an Arby's lunch in the back of the minivan was not my brightest moment. But, we survived to tell a few stories. Just to procrastinate a little bit longer on a project I need to finish and to change things up a bit I will present this in a bullet point fashion...yeahaw!

* Corban was an angel helper most of the time when he wasn't using the grocery cart like a surfboard or begging for a monster box of fruit snacks.

* Landice told everyone in the store our names, DOB, and bank account number

* Hayden smashed our wheat bread into a ball, no wait two balls because it came two to a bag.

* Hayden tried to latch on to any cart within his arms reach. We got lots of dirty looks. Funny how things change when you have 3 crazies in your basket instead of just one little cutie pie.

* Hayden left a trail of fruit snacks throughout the store.

* Corban told one of the ladies handing out free food, "Maybe next time you will have a snack just for me."

* Ran into a lady we go to church with and she was patient with Landice as she asked her what her name was about 15 times.

* As usual, I picked the slowest line possible. The young gal was so excited to see us that she did NOT make eye contact the whole time, she did NOT wait for me to get boxes to put my junk in. Instead, she piled it up and it started falling on the floor. I had to ask her to hand me stuff so I could place it in the basket and make sure Hayden didn't just throw it right out on the floor. She gave me a nice eyeroll and help the objects out very lazily and at arms length as if she could catch some disease from us. I was so frusterated at her, but I decided NOT to go find her manager and complain as I know everyone has a bad day. It took everything I had not to tell her I hoped she had a better day so she could do a better job. I think it helps to have little eyes always watching.

* While doing the routine exit we saw a nice crack that would have made it on Wal-marts People list. How did he NOT feel a draft?

* Salvation Army guy leans down and pokes Corban in the belly and says, "You being a good boy." Why do complete strangers feel they have the right to invade our personal space?

Random: Scriptures and Colors

I have been trying to get up a little earlier in the morning to do my Bible reading and prayer journal time. A lot of times, the getting up early part doesn't happen so I just work it into my morning while the kid's watch their morning dose of P.B.S. I have found that I like to do a "flip and search" type reading. I will wake up with something on my heart and I try to find a scripture that applies to that topic. This usually helps me to find focus and strength to get through my day especially when it starts to look a little hectic. This type of search has also opened my eyes to new things in the same stories or just new things altogether. What are some scriptures that you have founds some suprising comfort or joy in? This morning I read from Job Chapter 6. Verse 24 says, "Teach me, and I will be quiet; show me where I have been wrong." Wow! Do I really want to hear that? Not really. Do I need to hear that? Yes! For one, being quiet is a hard thing for me. And secondly, I don't like to be wrong. Oh boy! Loud and Prideful! Thank you God for your sense of humor and patience.

Subject change entirely - Colors

My post earlier this week about my kids and colors made me think about how I see colors. I have always thought about people and their favorite colors and if they seem to match their personalities. My favorite color is blue. I use to hate pink and would NOT wear it. I have sense become a little more girly and love pink, but blue is still my fav! Okay, boring you so I will carry on and get to the point. Think of a blogger friend and share with me what color you think they resemble or remind you of. You can check out this blog I found today to get a feel about what colors represent.

The politeness of little boogers

Gigi came over on Monday to play for a while. She was rocking Landice in the recliner and I was laying on the couch trying to stay conscious. Gigi is too distracted by Hayden playing peek-a-boo by the fireplace to notice Landice digging for gold. Landice very daintily flicked and wiped her new found treasure on her Gigi's pants. After Landice says, "There! Got it!" Gigi asks, "What was that?" Landice very sweetly replies, "Oh! It's just my booger!" Gigi didn't find this as amusing as I did and told Landice "Thank you, but your boogers don't belong on my pants!" Landice naturally replied, "You're SO welcome!"
