Corban's Happy Do!

Wow! I can't believe that I have a 2 year old son...and a 5 month old daughter. Time really does fly when you are having fun. Well, that is exactly what we did for Corban's birthday. We kicked off his birthday celebration with a dinner at Gigi & Tito's house with Gran & Gramps. Tito made homemade ice cream which was his best ever! This time without potato flakes! Yes, I said potato flakes. Anyway, we finished some last minute purchases and party planning and called it a night.
We woke up the next morning with a lot to get done. I had to get ready, feed Landice, pick up the cake and balloons, and some ice. Well, scratch that...I had to get ready, feed Landice, pick up the cake and Joshua had to get his and Corban's hair cut and then go pick up the ice. Yeah, we kinda didn't plan very well. But thankfully Gretchen was great and took care of us. Then, there was the fruit to cut up and hotdogs to grill and blow up a swim toy that didn't live up to the cool features it had listed on the box.
However, we had at least 50 people help us celebrate Corban's birthday. Luke Carnegey put together the train set we borrowed from Andrew. And then the mayhem began. Everyone started coming with loads of gifts and we had a great time. Corban took Thomas offroading in the cake before the party so we started with singing "Happy Do" to Corban and opening his numerous gifts...he had so many that he didn't want to finish opening them. We then moved outside so the kids could play in the water and get some good eats! Landice even got wet. I almost had a melt down because I forgot to hand out the juice(Motts for Tots -less sugar) and party favors(way-cool never seen before Thomas blowers and snacks) to the kiddos...I mean come on! Too much on my mind, but thankfully I had the wisdom of Gran and Nana to let me know that those were not detrimental to our kids development and they would grow up normally! All in all it was a great time. I don't think I will be hired to be a party planner any time soon.

What fun!!! Wish we could have been there. I agree party planning. I could never do that full time. Don't worry about scarring the kids, I'm sure we will all do much worse with no major effect.

Haha, the party was great. You and Josh did an AWESOME job! Congrats on keeping it together. I would have just given up. Haha, Been like "Blah, what you see is what you get. Dont like it, leave." :) But I'm just lazy. HAHAHA. I didnt get to have any cake, for fear of being made fun of, so I laaayeed low. ;) I need to stop that, darnit. :/
