BusyTimes!

Is it already the 23rd of July?! We just had Corban's party and time is still flying by. I have come to realize that summer is way busy! Since Corban's party we have had Brothers Keepers at the Hamilton's, a birthdy celebration for Gigi, dinner with the Hobbs consisting of "sfimming", a baby shower for Kristy, as well as painting our house. Wednesday night Joshua and I stayed up til 2:30 painting our kitchen, hallway, and entryway ceiling. I worked all day Thursday with Nana and Papaw painting the outside of our house. Lisa took the kiddos to bible study with her(thanks!) and then they napped at Gigi's while I was doing all of this crazy work. But we got a good bit done and Nana & Papaw are lying about their age because they worked just as hard as I did. They are truly amazing...I only hope I can help my grandkids paint their houses. Papaw is crazy he put a ladder on the roof and had me hold it for him. Needless to say I was a nervous wreck! Noone got hurt thankfully. Joshua and I went to dinner Friday night to Charleston's...Salmon...mmm! We were going to go to a movie but I was too tired to go sit with a bunch of other people in a movie theatre. We then worked all day Saturday on the house again. Michael had a study session at OC so he brought Alyx and Andrew up to watch the kids for a couple of hours. You can say this house project has been a definite family effort. Gigi helped again with the kids(thanks!). I didn't work out from Thursday til Sunday night and that is way too long of a break...but I was definitely sore everyday and I cooked more than I usually do! How crazy is that. I fixed three meals on Saturday...I think that is a record. Now it is Monday and not a normal one at that. Zina, Michael, and the kids came up to go to Pelican Bay but it rained and they were closed at the time. So, we opted for the mall and Alyx and I got a pedicure...yeah! I taught my aerobics class and came home for dinner. Took the kids to Wal-Mart so Joshua could mow and boy was that a bad idea. Corban wanted ice cream and candy the entire time we were there. So I gave him raisins and he kept dropping them and then crying. I kept telling him that he couldn't have the ones on the ground because they were yucky and then would put them in my pocket. This, however, did not satisfy him. He continued to drop them and cry. What do I do? Well, nothing beside try to distract him by letting him help me put the apples in the bag. What does he do? He takes a huge bit out of one and says "mmm...good". What do I do? I let him eat it because he is quiet at least. We go to check out to only find 6 open "20 items or less isles open" , 4 "self check out", and 3 "wal-mart check out specialists" a.k.a. real people in a buy the whole store no limit line. So we get in line and I am standing half way in between 2 that are a close call for early check out. I realize the one I am closer too is not the quickest checkout so I start to get in the other line. Only to hear a couple groan that I cut them off. Two older people with no children. So I say "sorry, you go ahead you only have 2 items." and that is what they did. I only said that expecting they would realize my son is eating an apple that hasn't been washed and my daughter is half way trying to sleep. But no...they continue on without another thought. No worries though...Corban wasn't screaming because he had half of the apple core in his mouth. Oh well. By the way...yes we did pay for the apple. I had the very competent lady weigh an apple twice so we wouldn't go to jail.
We then get home and I very quickly unload the groceries and give Landice a bath and leave the water for Corban. He was so ready for a bath that he decided to get in with all of his clothes on. Shoes and all. I am not sure what shoes he will wear tomorrow because we threw away his Elmo shoes (if anyone knows where I can get some more please let me know) and the others are soaked. Well, I am off to hang out with my hubby finally so we can wind down our crazy, busy life.

Check out the Disney store. We got Kadence's "mermaid" shoes there for $5.00. But I guess Elmo is not "Disney" is it? Oh well, maybe they have another character he will like too.

Ah...the things we do for "quiet in the store." Heck, I would've let him eat the raisins off the floor.

I enjoy your exercise tips down at the bottom of your page. So, as I am sitting her slouching on the couch (surely I am excused) eating my waffle and syrup I am contemplating the effects it is going to have on me unless I sit up nice and tall. :-)
It actually may be too early in the morning for me to be leaving comments, but I hope I make some sence.
