Good-Bye Image, Hello Mini-Van!!!

Well, a lot has happened since I last posted. Joshua and I finally gave into the Mini-Van! We bought us a used Chrysler Town and Country. Here are the reasons why: 1. Economical compared to our gas guzzling, cool SUV 2. Ease of Use - Meaning I can open both doors with the click of a button and Corban can climb in and close it with the button on the inside. I don't have to watch where the car door is hitting or chase Corban around the car after I buckle Landice in. 3. More Room - (for my shopping bags!!!) Ha! The seats fold into the floor in three easy steps...And while the seats are up there is storage space below!
Now you can't get any cooler than that...well...okay you are asking "why didn't you get the media package?" Well, I will tell you...I didn't want to a battle against Veggie Tales everytime we got in the car. Especially, when I don't usually drive more than 6 miles in any given direction.
So I am just going to rock out in my cool car...now I just need my movie star glasses and I am set!
Last Thursday Alyx and Andrew came over during nap time and we carved pumpkins. Let me rephrase that...I carved out 4 pumpkins guts...there was so much that we filled up a trash bag! The kids did a great job making the faces and helping gather all the seeds. Zina cooked them up for us. We had Sugar & spice, Seasoned salt, and just salted ones. They were great. My kids woke up from naps and we took some pictures of our "punkins."

Here is Tito and Papaw working hard on putting together our new play set. It was bought from the Westwood Day School...they were getting new stuff so Tito and Gigi gave it to Corban for part of his Christmas gift. It is very sturdy and we have had a lot of fun on it already!

Here is Landice's first time to go down a slide. She is so tough. I am sure she will be climbing all over it before too long. She turned 8 months on Saturday. She is pulling up on everything. She can babble "mama" and "dada". We are working on "bubba". Lately, when we act like we are going to tickle her she will jump ahead of time. She gets so worked up. Tonight when I was trying to get her to go to sleep she would jump because she wanted me to get her. It looked kind of funny, because if you didn't know what she was doing you would think she had this weird tick. I think she was really tired tonight. She was fighting sleep so much that she would close her eyes and then start laughing to keep herself awake, but her eyes would still be closed.

Corban has been sick with Croup. Yuck! He sounds like a barking dog when he coughs. Poor baby! He has been moping around the house carrying his blanket and paci"fier." Yesterday, he took everything off of his sister's changing table and tried to climb on the shelf to sleep. I hate it when my babies are sick. He felt a whole lot better today though. "Jakie" came over to play today and stayed for dinner. My brother is so good with kids. He gets on their level and really engages with them.
