I bet you can't guess how much I spent on groceries this week...

These next three pictures show what I bought for this weeks meals at Targets. See if you can guess how much I spent on all this nutritious food and I want to challenge you to see how you can cut out some junk and add in some delicious fruits and veggies.

These last two pictures are of the most Delicious & Nutritious Minestrone soup EVER!!! Warning: Labor intensive and colon cleansing for sure!

I'm guessing you spent very little but last I looked at strawberries, those alone were almost $4 for that little container!!! I will guess $50

I wish it was $50 but to feed a very ravenous family of 5 I spent $130 for the week. WE will have minestrone soup, frittata's, salmon, homemade granola bars, chicken & rice, & a white chicken chili. I bought 2 things of raspberries, 1 thing of strawberries at 2.99, 2 things of blueberries, 6 oranges, 6 apples, 6 pears, lettuce, carrots, celery, peas, frozen peaches for smoothies, and so much more. I had most of my cart full before I hit the isles. I even bought cardamom, which was $8 for a big jar(hard to find). I was so excited to get so much nutrition for a great price!

130 really isn't that bad for how much food was in that cart! Good going!

I'm making your chicken recipe (from last week) this week. I'm very excited. Your groceries look so good. Please post recipes!

I think that is a pretty good price, for being Target and for healthy food. I don't think it is possible to be able to do nutritious, cheap, and easy. At least I haven't found a way...

Oh. haha. I thought you were a supergirl like people I see on the news who got $200 of groceries for $1 or something! Which is why I said a low number!

that's good...I manage to spend $70 when I just need to pick up a few items! I do manage to save on a lot of health and beauty items with coupons and ECB's at CVS, tho!

130 is great, we are doing an all vegie and fruit fast in our church and the grocery bill has been on the high end.

Would love to learn how to make your soup, it looks great.
