Back to Reality!

Hi to all! It is sad when I have to go off of pictures to be able to tell you what all has happened in just two weeks. I sit and think of how in the world can one get so busy even when she is not really working. And yet it happens. Until this week I have worked a whoppin' 3 hours in a two week period at the gym that is. Of course, still teaching aerobics too. I don't really count that so much. I have enjoyed being at home with my babies and seeing how much they are learning. Corban is speaking so well these days. He loves to ask me "Why not?" and "How come?" and of course my answer is the generic Mother term of "Because I said so" after the 20th time he asks. Just this week he has started saying to me after I tell him not to do something "What you talking about?". I was wondering where he picked this little gem up and of course all I had to do was look in the mirror. I have realized that I say that to Joshua all the time.

Joshua took a week of vacation time last week, however, I must say he still ended up working some from home. But I will take what I can get. He was wonderful. He took over everything. I caught up on some much needed sleep. He cleaned the whole house, did the laundry, cooked some, helped get the kids ready everyday without complaint. He did tell me that he wished he could say he didnt' take me for granted at times, but he does and he reallly, really, really appreciates what I do for our family. What a great compliment to get while you are just laying around being lazy! We took the kids to the zoo last Wednesday. They loved it. We rode the train and everything! Joshua really enjoyed getting to come with us.

Thursday we packed up to go to the Lake with the Hornbuckles. We left around 5:30ish and Jeremy forgot his wallet in his other pants so we had to come back. Landice was then hungry or so we thought. I took her in for her 6 month check up that day as well. Being poked and prodded and given shots made her a bit fussier than normal. Dr. Stephens gave her a clean bill of health and told us she sits up like a 9 month old. She is trying so hard to keep up with brother. Back to the trip story...we stopped in MWC to eat at Panera and I tried to feed her. I had what was possibly my most embarrassing attempts at trying to do so. She arched her back and just cried. Everyone watched so I just gave up. I took her to the car later and tried again...same thing. So we look in her mouth and see what looks like a tooth. So Joshua gets teething gel, ibprofen, and a big bag of M&M's to fix us up. Well, she didn't eat til we stopped off the highway at 9PM. We got to Broken Bow around 12:30AM. Long trip. Corban watched Veggie Tales the entire trip and we realized later why he stayed awake the whole trip. His seat was sitting straight up instead of being reclined. We get everything on the houseboat (friends of Jeremy and Jana own it). It was a bit musty smelling and hot, but we cranked the AC and aired it out a bit and it worked great. The next morning Inotice the curtains have watered stains about half way up them only to find out later that the boat has sunk twice.
We get out on J & J boat and the water is like glass. So calm and beautiful. The kids aren't too crazy about being in life jackets but eventually dealt with it. Landice mostly stayed in her carrier in the covered area. Corban tubed and loved it. He would also swim back and forth from his dad and I and shout "Swim to mommy" then when he reached us "I did it!" So great to see how our kids love to accomplish new things! Joshua learned how to Wake Board and I learned how to do it a bit better than last year and I definitely wiped out everytime! My neck was so sore. All in all we had a great time...ate not so great but not terrible. We had so much fun...Thanks J & J!
